The development stage is where I actually put together you web site and make all the pages hang together.
As a designer I have a number of aims. I want your site to be:
- Informative
- Interesting
- Easy to navigate
- Clearly laid out
To achieve these I will need your involvement too.
During the initial consultation and any subsequent discussions we will hopefully have agreed basic things such as colour schemes, layout, pages to be included, logos, etc.
It is important that you provide the content of the pages, after all it is your site and you should by now have an good idea about what you want it to say.
What is content?
Well, content is the stuff the viewer reads and looks at.
The content is why the viewer keeps coming back to your web site. Make it too fussy and complicated and the reader cannot be bothered, make it too simple and it is not very interesting.
It is important to get the balance right. Whilst the design can address some aspects of this, the content is also integral to making your web site professional.
